Thanks to Digital Bill for pointing out to me this tutorial on Instructables.com showing how to easily hack a $9 refill from a $200 Monte Blanc pen into a $2 Pilot G-2. (I actually went one notch cheaper than the tutorial by going with the Pilot G-2 07, not the Pro)

How does it write? Does it feel smoooth and sexay?

It writes pretty well, but to be honest, it’s not all that great. The G-2 has more ink flow and writes darker with much smudging. The Monte Blanc’s ink is a bit more translucent and flows very smoothly but also much less liberally.
I really don’t think the Monte Blanc is so much about rollerball variety anyway.
Does anyone know a cheap pen that accepts Monte Blanc Ballpoint refills?
