I couldn’t wait any longer–I bought a new iPod

This one trips the alarm on several of the 7 Geek Sins and Geek Virtues. I had the courage to buy a new iPod when the line is desperately late for an update (and, no, the iPhone doesn’t count–not at the price it demands). I have faith that there will be no update to the iPod line until the iPhone has either dominated the smart phone market or has been trounced by the competition. I’m showing my geek gluttony and greed to have bought this iPod at all. And, though I showed restraint in waiting this long to buy it, I’m showing my geek pride now as I show this new toy off to my friends.

And, just in case any of them ask why I got an iPod when I could have got an iPhone, I have had this device engraved with the answer…
